Sony full-frame FE and APS-C E lenses can mount on Sony E-mount full-frame and APS-C camera bodies, but the image behavior changes. An FE lens on an APS-C body uses the smaller sensor and gives an angle of view equivalent to about 1.5 times the marked focal length. An APS-C E lens on a full-frame body normally records in APS-C or Super 35 crop, using only part of the sensor. Sony A-mount lenses are not directly compatible with E-mount bodies and require a supported adapter; exact autofocus and feature support still depends on the body, lens, adapter, and firmware.
