Check DJI Mini 4 Pro controller and battery compatibility

Use DJI’s live compatibility scope before reusing a controller, Mini 3 Pro battery, or charging hub.

Direct answer

The shortest reliable path.

DJI lists DJI RC-N2 and DJI RC 2 as the two standard remote controllers for Mini 4 Pro. DJI also lists the Mini 3 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery, Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, Two-Way Charging Hub, 30W USB-C Charger, and 18W USB Charger as compatible accessories, but warns that the standard Mini 3 Pro battery reduces propulsion performance and flight time and makes total aircraft weight exceed 249 g. Compatibility therefore does not mean identical performance, weight class, or local operating rules.

Applies to

DJI Mini 4 Pro owners evaluating official DJI remote controllers, Mini 3 Pro batteries, charging hubs, and chargers.

Does not cover

Third-party batteries, goggles and motion-controller flight modes, regional aviation advice, repairs, or unlisted accessories.

Procedure

Do this in order.

  1. 01

    Match the controller name exactly

Choose DJI RC-N2 or DJI RC 2 for the standard Mini 4 Pro control path; do not infer support from a similar-looking RC-N1 or DJI RC.

  2. 02

    Treat battery reuse as conditional

If reusing a listed Mini 3 Pro battery, inspect it, update firmware, install it fully, and confirm the aircraft status before flight.

  3. 03

    Recheck the weight category

Weigh the complete aircraft configuration and apply the rules for the actual takeoff weight and location.

  4. 04

    Run a controlled preflight test

Confirm controller link, battery identification, warnings, GPS state, Return-to-Home settings, and control response before launch.

Stop conditions

Know when not to keep changing things.

  • Do not fly with an unlisted, damaged, swollen, or modified battery.
  • Do not assume “under 249 g” after changing the supplied battery or adding accessories.
  • Do not launch when the app reports a battery, controller, firmware, compass, or positioning warning that has not been resolved.
