Procedure
Do this in order.

Secure every payload connection
Check the camera, quick-release plate, lens support, screws, levers, knobs, and accessories for movement before balancing.

Balance the complete shooting configuration
Mechanically balance pan front-to-back, tilt front-to-back and up-down, and roll left-to-right until the axes stay in the tested positions.

Use the built-in balance result
Run the balance test and confirm the Ronin app or gimbal screen reports a normal balance state.
- 04
Run Auto Tune after balance
With the balanced payload installed, run Auto Tune and let the gimbal set motor stiffness for that configuration.

Rebalance when the payload geometry changes
Rebalance after changing landscape or portrait orientation, adding or removing accessories, or changing a zoom lens from its working position.

- Power the gimbal off before mounting or repositioning the camera.
- Do not run Auto Tune with loose mounting hardware or a payload above the exact model’s documented limit.
- Contact DJI when a firmly mounted, in-limit payload passes balance and Auto Tune but the gimbal still oscillates.
