Connected support ended October 25, 2025 for the 2011 Nest Learning Thermostat (1st gen), 2012 Nest Learning Thermostat (2nd gen), and 2014 European 2nd-gen model. They no longer work in the Nest or Google Home app and no longer receive software or security updates. Temperature, mode, settings, and existing schedules can still be controlled on the thermostat itself, but remote control, notifications, assistants, Home/Away features, multi-device Eco control, and the Nest Protect Emergency Shutoff link are gone.
