Ring says its battery-powered doorbells and cameras operate normally from −20°C to 50°C and perform best around 25°C, but battery runtime falls near freezing and charging stops below freezing. Bring a cold device or removable battery indoors and charge it by USB after it reaches a suitable temperature rather than waiting for solar charging. In heat, Device Cooldown can limit features and video quality; higher temperature can stop charging or shut the device down. Let it cool indoors and, where practical, reinstall it in shade. Check the Ring app’s Device Health after the temperature normalizes and the battery is recharged.
