HDMI Licensing Administrator states that this cable category supports up to 48 Gbps and the HDMI 2.1 feature set, including 4K/120, VRR, and eARC. The newer Ultra96 HDMI Cable is for higher-bandwidth HDMI 2.2 applications; it is not required merely to carry a normal 4K/120 path. A cable cannot add a feature that the source, display, or selected ports do not support.
